- Please choose the essay prompt for your student rank at Towson and write an essay of 500-800 words that offers a clear and compelling response. Your writing should show the selection committee how you think about reading, learning, and your experiences in and expectations for college. Your writing should show us something about you, and it should be interesting to read. Please use spell-check, but no other writing tools.
If you are a student in your first year at Towson, answer this question:
What has motivated you (people or events) to become an avid reader and lifelong learner? Why is reading so important for you in your personal and/or professional aspirations?
If you are a student in your second year or beyond at Towson, answer this question:
How have your commitments to lifelong learning and reading been tested or undergone changes since coming to Towson? As your personal and professional aspirations have developed over the past few years, what role has reading played in those developments?
- Please upload a resume listing activities and commitments you have been involved in since July 2026.
- Please enter the name and email of a TU faculty member so we may contact them for a letter of recommendation. Please confirm with the faculty member that they will provide the letter of recommendation before entering the information.
- I agree to submit a written report of approximately 3-4 pages describing the ways in which I can apply in my future career what I have learned in the classroom during the 2026-2027 academic year. I agree to submit this report to efehskens@towson.edu by May 8, 2027.
