Elizabeth Wainio Memorial Communications Scholarship Endowment

Elizabeth Wainio’s friends and colleagues at Discovery Communications, Inc. established this scholarship in her memory when she died aboard flight 93 in Somerset County, PA on September 11, 2001. Ms. Wainio graduated from TU with a degree in Mass Communication.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, students must be:

• Enrolled in the Department of Mass Communication;
• At least a sophomore or higher;
• A resident of the State of Maryland;
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

This scholarship is not renewable.
