Jeremiah J. German Endowed Scholarship in Economics

The Jeremiah J. German Scholarship in Economics is open to junior economics majors who are entering their senior year.

  • Students must have completed ECON 309 and 310 by the end of the Spring semester.
  • Scholarship is based on academic achievement.
  • Applicants must write a 750-word essay on a topic that will be announced to all eligible students each year.

Which US industries are most likely to be impacted—positively or negatively—from a possible new US tariff policy and why? Essay should be no longer than 750 words. References are encouraged and will not be considered part of your 750-word limit. The essay will be a key factor in determining the winner.
