"Champions for C.H.A.S.E." Children's Health, Autism and Special Education Student Scholarship

This scholarship is open to student’s enrolled in the speech-language pathology master’s program. All applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Full-time graduate student;
  • Enrolled in the speech-language pathology master’s program and continued enrollment in the program during the year of the award;
  • Resident of Maryland;
  • Demonstrated financial need as defined by the Financial Aid Office;
  • Submission of a short essay that outlines interests in speech-language pathology/special education and/or health and well-being.

  1. Please upload a short essay (1-2 pages) outlining your interest in speech-language pathology/special education and/or health and well-being. Special emphasis of the essay should be on the crucial role of communication and acceptance in supporting diverse learners or those with unique medical needs and should provide evidence of the applicant's professional or community service experience illustrating a commitment to those individuals.
