Elfreth and Assadi Family Scholarship Honoring Women in Public Service

This scholarship is open to Political Science majors who meet the following criteria:

  • Full-time undergraduate status;
  • Declared major in Political Science and at least 15 hours of completed coursework towards major or sophomore status;
  • 3.5 cumulative GPA;
  • Exhibit through example, service, or academic writing or research advocacy of women in public service;
  • Expected to submit a written reflection on his or her internship experience consistence with the requirements for academic credit.

Additional consideration given to those students who are enrolled in the Honors College and/or are actively involved in student organizations on campus.

  1. Applicants should submit an essay explaining how their internship experience, whether by example, service, or writing/research, contributes to the advocacy for women in public service. Essays should not exceed two double-spaced typed pages in 12-point font.
